Trim Your Horse's
Feet
I have been shoeing horses for about 30 years and have shod many winners in many disciplines including
Energizer -- overall performance in the xp2001 endurance ride. Ridden by Carol Crawford, this little
horse went 1650 miles in 33 days. In this video I show step by step the basics of how to trim your horses
feet. This video covers tools, brands, costs and how to use them, how to hold the horse's hoof so you
have hands free to work, conformation, foot angles, how to balance a foot to the leg, how much foot
to remove, when to stop trimming, beveling the wall and rounding up the toe. I trim a front and hind
hoof on Firestarter showing and explaining all the steps. This video will give you the basics to trim
a normal horse with confidence.

Working With Feet
I have been shoeing horses
for about 30 years and have seen all kinds of problems horses have with people trying to work with their
feet. I did this video to try to help out some of these horses and their owners plus the horseshoers
that have to deal with them. This video has the Klamath Falls clicker demo to show some of the fun things
we do with clicker training. Then Tony and I demonstrate the first three steps of clicker training.
Then I take a 16 month old colt that has never had his feet handled and show how to shape his behavior
to pick his feet up and hold them up himself with no tack on him. Next step is desensitizing him to
noise on his feet to prepare him for trimming and shoeing. I break this down into easy step by step
training anyone can do. Next I go work with an 5 year old stallion that has decided he doesn't want
his feet done anymore and a yearling filly that pulls back and rears when her owner tries to pick up
her feet. I show how to use the clicker to expedite trimming both these horses with no hassles. Approximately
2 hours long.

Fun With Obstacles
In this video Francisco
and I show you how to train your horse to negotiate calmly and confidently a wide variety of trail obstacles
such as labyrinths, walking over poles, backing through the labyrinth, sidepassing over poles and around
corners, teeter totters, bridges, tunnels, brush, logs, tapes, barrels, spooks in the woods, mailboxes,
ground tying, and the dreaded mud puddle. This tape will give you some fun ideas for doing obstacles
and show you how to make your horse a more obedient, maneuverable, calmer trail horse. Happy Trails,
Karen

Teach Your Horse To Stand Tied
One of the biggest problems
I have seen people have with horses is getting them to stand tied so I did this tape to try to help.
This video has the Klamath Falls Clicker Demo With Karen, Sarah and Francisco showing some of the cool
things they do with clicker training. Karen and Tony show the first steps in clicker training, the hi-line
setup, how to teach young horses to tie, working with horses that pull back, paw and won't stand still.
I also talk about teaching a horse to cross tie. I have taken many horses that wouldn't tie and taught
them to using the steps in this video. I have never found one I couldn't teach to stand tied. This method
is broken down into easy steps anyone can do. Horses really enjoy clicker training -- give it a try.

Safe and Easy Hobble Training Video
Why hobble train your
horse? I do mostly for safety reasons. Hobble trained horses will stand still if they get a foot caught
in a rope, fence, wire or anything else. I have been in several bad wrecks when a horse I was riding
got a foot caught in brush or wire so I started hobble training everyone before I got on them. It is
great basic training also because it helps teach a horse to think rather than react in a blind panic.
It is also very handy for trail riders and packers to be able to hobble a horse to graze. I take a broodmare
out of the pasture that has had no clicker training or hobble training and in 90 minutes spread out
over 4 sessions have the beginnning steps of clicker training taught and the mare hobble trained front
and rear. Justin filmed the entire process. It is broken down into small steps and is much, much safer
than just putting hobbles on them and letting them fight it out. There is a short clicker training demo
at the end of the tape to show some fun things to teach with this method. Happy Trails, Karen.

Teach Your Horse To Line Dance
This was a big hit at
the demo we did in Klamath Falls. Teach Your Horse To Line Dance shows you step by step how to teach
your horse to circle with you, go back and forth, sidepass to and away, bow and how to put it all together
in your own dance. Lots of fun and it really teaches your horse to focus on you.

Teach Your Horse To
Fetch
Teach your horse all of these neat tricks. It is really easy with clicker training. Francisco and
Karen show you step-by-step how to teach your horse to fetch a cone, open the mailbox and fetch the
mail, open an ice chest and fetch a soda and shut the lid. Also on this tape is teaching your horse
to fetch while being ridden and picking up your hat and giving it to you when it blows off. Some of
this is on my groundwork and riding tapes but several people asked me to do a video just on fetching
so I did.

Teach Your Horse to Sit Down
This video shows you how
to teach your horse to sit down on bales of hay or a beanbag without any force. No foot ropes, whip,
chains or wire brushes. By using the clicker and shaping small steps the horse learns to sit down willingly
and easily. Clicker training is a food based positive reinforcement system. You should have some basic
clicker knowledge before teaching this. If you don't my Groundwork video is an excellent one to watch
first. I use three different horses in actual schooling in this video. Melody shows the beginning steps,
Francisco the intermediate and Tony the ending. Happy Trails, Karen Parker and Clickin' On Ranch
